Margarida Ferro (1977) studied Nursing in Lisbon. Afterwards she moved to the Netherlands where she followed interpretation and translation studies (English, Dutch and Portuguese) in Maastricht. She decided to change the free-lance work as a translator and interpreter for a traineeship as a translator at the Council of the European Union in Brussels. After this experience, she has worked in a translation company as a project manager.
She has worked at the Flemish Peace Institute since September 2007 as office manager and is responsible for, among other things, correspondence, finances, telephone, office supplies, agenda management and mailings.
